Humpleby house in Port Melbourne is a large contemporary glass curved addition to a traditional double-fronted Victorian home. The curved glazed fin wall dictated the flared design of the reflection pool that spins out from the edge of the glazed wall. This creates a visual effect from inside, with a soft dappled light from the pool. The heavily glazed pavilion was designed as a complete contrast to the double-brick Victorian architecture of large rooms and small window details.
