Showroom Fashion Agency is a Melbourne-based fashion house supplying to the Australian and International market. The project involved turning a large two-storey chocolate factory in inner Melbourne into a modern cutting-edge fashion house to be used as offices and sales and display studios. The approach was to use various screening devices and translucent materials to create studio areas within the larger space that satisfied the creative needs of the fashion designers and sales team. The result is a collage of light and dark, of timber and glass, aluminium and perspex, creating fragmented spaces all coexisting on a polished concrete floor.
